Evidence review specialist, applied AI, and learning and change theorist
Dr. Cong Ngo is a Research Fellow at Monash Evidence Review Services (ERS) within BehaviourWorks Australia at the Monash Business School. Working at the critical intersection of research, behavior, and public policy, he contributes to high-stakes commissioned evidence synthesis projects for government, industry, and policy-oriented stakeholders. His work translates complex research into actionable, strategic insights across health, environment, education, and social sectors for major agencies, such as the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and the Sax Institute.
An applied linguist by training, Dr. Ngo earned his PhD from Monash University’s Faculty of Education in 2023. He brings a versatile, mixed-methods research framework to his projects, with specific methodological expertise spanning systematic and scoping reviews, psychometric scale validation, and bibliometric analysis.
A distinct hallmark of his profile is his innovation in applied AI. Dr. Ngo develops transparent, human-verified workflows and custom SaaS applications designed to optimize rigorous evidence synthesis practices. Reflecting a deep commitment to quality, his technological framework explicitly emphasizes methodological rigor, auditability, and responsible, ethical AI integration.
His sustained academic contribution is widely recognized across global research networks, evidenced by more than 30 publications in top-tier (Q1) academic journals, over 1,700 citations, and an h-index of 20. Beyond his research and technological endeavors, Cong is a dedicated mindfulness practitioner and a certified meditation teacher registered with Meditation Australia.
