Health

We are driven by curiosity and solving challenging problems that have impactful solutions. Our work has led to real-world change in improving the health and quality of life of Australians and people globally by changing health systems and the way people and organisations behave.

The Health Portfolio at BWA is led by co-directors Dr Denise Goodwin and Dr Breanna Wright. Dr Goodwin has an extensive background in psychology, sociology and exercise science, bringing many skills including a focus on systems level thinking to this growing team. Dr Wright has experience in psychology and epidemiology, contributing extensive qualitative and quantitative research skills to the list of skills offered by this group.

The Health portfolio has an impressive history of completing important projects with real-world implications for the health of Australians and people globally. Importantly, all projects are completed together with industry and government bodies, further supporting the real-world applicability of our work. Here’s some of our key topic areas:

1. Safety in life and at work; The safety of consumers and staff within the workplace, including healthcare settings, and in recreation is important to ensure people can live a healthy and happy life.

2. Helping people become healthier versions of themselves; Healthy people create healthy societies. We have worked with several clients with goals to change health behaviours of the people they serve.

3. Healthy people living in healthy environments; Our surrounding environment can impact our health, both positively and negatively. We also help clients to address problems that sit in the health-environment nexus.
