Julia Meis
Research Fellow and change champion

Julia has submitted her PhD with the University of Melbourne. She has a Master’s in Psychology from the University of Cologne (Germany) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology from the Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany).
Julia’s research interests lie in the area of environmental and social psychology, environmentally sustainable behaviour and climate change, consumer behaviour and the influence of economic inequality on prejudice toward immigrants.
During her PhD, Julia worked on various behaviour change projects in cooperation with BWA as well as other organisations, including a review of innovative P-Turn intersections for VicRoads and a review of energy use and sustainable housing practices for the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.
Julia was also part of the CRC for Low Carbon Living as a junior collaborator, helping to develop an index to gain insights about the willingness of Australians to adopt a low carbon lifestyle.
At the Centre for Ethical Leadership, she worked on the development of a research project aimed at providing policy support for people with disabilities.
Julia is particularly interested in the drivers of various environmental and pro-social behaviours that impact everyday life.
